The Realme 9 series duo has finally come out and we welcome two Pro models instead of just one: the standard Realme 9 Pro version and the Pro+ option. The subject of this review is the Realme 9 Pro, which the company claims is the direct successor to Realme. 8s 5G makes the Pro+ the successor to last year’s 8 Pro.
And in a reasonable way, since the 9 Pro appears to be inferior to last year’s 8 Pro in many respects, but compared to the 8s, the 5G 9 Pro looks like a big improvement, replacing the old LCD panel with a brighter 120Hz. Expand the chipset to Snapdragon 695 5G, add an ultra-wide-angle camera. and remove the undeniably useless depth sensor. The charge and capacity of the battery remain unchanged.

We can’t miss the unique Light Shift design of both Realme 9 Pro Pro + Sunrise Blue bought from our office. Will change color when exposed to UV rays from the sun. (or other UV rays), which are discussed in detail in the next section. Because it is one of the outstanding features of the 9 Pro family.
Interestingly, Realme has opted for a rather unusual feature segmentation of the 9 Pro and 9 Pro+, with the latter focusing more on photography. with great camera settings Faster charging and chipset, it makes more sense because it’s more expensive, right?
Vanilla Pro has its own charm too. So it might be a smarter choice. First, the Snapdragon 695 chipset has a more than enough 6.6-inch display that runs faster at 120Hz, and the bigger battery will definitely last longer. So if you’re looking for a smoother experience and longer battery life, Realme 9 Pro might be the choice for you. So far the LCD panel is fine.
Join us on the following page as we test the new Snapdragon 695 5G SoC in our benchmark battery test. And to assess the heat dissipation capability of the vapor chamber cooling system, yes, you read that correctly – Realme thinks people are playing on the 9 Pro, so 60fps+ support in games would be great to take advantage of the 120Hz display. maximum.
Unboxing the Realme 9 Pro
The device comes standard with a user manual, a 33W charger, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and a SIM eject tool.
It also has a transparent silicone protective cover.
Design and ergonomics
Realme 9 Pro and Pro + share the same design with a distinctive camera island. The hump extends quite well and has sharp edges around it. Unlike the rest of the back, it leans well to the side for a more comfortable grip. We have a non-plus version in Midnight Black, but there is a Sunrise Blue version available. This is a color that changes color when exposed to direct ultraviolet rays. The blue color will turn red after a moment. But it only takes a few minutes if you use bright indoor lighting.
Midnight Black attracts fingerprints and is still highly visible. The glossy surface is smooth but not as smooth as most glass surfaces. That’s because it’s plastic. Not what we expected from glass.
The side frames also mimic aluminum with a plastic matt finish. interesting is The sides of the phone are flat. So the phone looks even more clear. Certainly not the most optimal ergonomics.
However, the power button and volume controls are well positioned because they are easily accessible. The volume keys are on the left and the fingerprint scanner is on the right. We appreciate a deeper power button to make it easier to find. Realme 9 Pro review
The hybrid SIM (SIM+SIM or SIM+microSD) slot is on the left side. While the 3.5mm audio jack, speaker port and USB-C connector are normally at the bottom.
So the starting point remains without showing anything special. In the upper left corner there is a small hole. for selfie camera relatively thin side and top edge including a slightly thicker bottom The glass curves slightly to the side so it doesn’t feel too sharp.
However, with its all-plastic body and 6.6-inch screen, we were surprised to learn that the device weighs approximately 195g. This may be due to the large camera block at the top.
Of course, there are some minor inconveniences with the overall design. But most are eliminated by physical explosions. However, the overall structure is good and meets our expectation. The average price is 200 euros.
