The tool we’re reviewing today is the recently announced global Redmi Note 11. It brings a significant improvement over its predecessor, the Redmi Note 10. But the refresh rate is no more than 90 Hz. There is also a new 50MP main camera.
The current name of the Xiaomi Redmi Note line is a bit confusing. And it’s just that we’re being polite with it. Currently, the model we’re testing isn’t to be confused with last year’s Redmi Note 11 or Redmi Note 11 4G in China. Even though the device we have today is only 4G heavy.

It should be different from the Redmi Note 11S – essentially the same model, but with a MediaTek chipset and an upgraded main camera to 108 MP.
This Redmi note starts at $11,180 for a 4/64GB device (and that’s if you don’t agree with the first offer) and goes up to $230 for a 6/128GB device, which is slightly less than last year’s Vanilla Redmi Note 10, which is interesting.
This may be because not all of the changes are rigorous upgrades from last year’s model. This year’s Snapdragon 680 4G chipset is definitely newer than the Redmi Note 10 Snapdragon 678, so it uses a smaller and more efficient 6nm manufacturing process. compared to 11nm)
Despite being a different chipset, the Adreno 610 GPU in the Snapdragon 680 from last year’s Snapdragon 678 Adreno 612 is down. The same goes for DSP cameras, which again limits 1080p video recording. The unfortunate event that the 2022 devices canceled 4K recording was due to the feature being removed from the Snapdragon 680 and Snapdragon 695.
Redmi Note 11 has what can be considered a versatile shopping package. The box itself doesn’t look modern at all. It’s a simple two-part case. It is also made of thick cardboard. Inside everything is beautiful and protected.
And there’s really a lot in there. In addition to the phone itself and the usual stuff like a Type-A-C cable, SIM card, and some flyers, Xiaomi has included a 33W charger. It saturates the 33W charging station announced on the Redmi Note 11 and is a great addition to the retail package. Like the transparent TPU case, she felt strong and had to keep up. It also folds instantly without worrying about accidents. Like the soft plastic protective film included, even though Redmi Note 11 has Gorilla Glass 3 on the screen, we still appreciate this extra protection.
Several vendors are offering free wireless headphones for the Note 11 Pro.
The Redmi Note 11 has a rather recognizable look, Xiaomi has been doing a segmented and accented camera island design for several phones for a long time and it’s special enough to remember. They have almost the same look and feel as the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, which are slightly larger. But with a similar design . Small accents. And the circular pattern on the camera island creates an attractive design that blends in well.
As much as we appreciate Xiaomi’s current design language, we have to admit that at first glance It’s almost impossible to tell the difference between several of the company’s latest phones, not that this is a common problem for end-users.
Redmi Note 11 is the perfect blend of square and round design elements. It’s clearly a current trend that Samsung has made something similar to the Galaxy S22 lineup. However, we’re not going to make the Redmi Note 11 look like an iPhone. be smooth
The center plastic frame gives it a premium feel and has a graphite gray finish on top of our devices. Matte colors seem standard for pearl white and star blue. We especially like the look. But it’s a fingerprint magnet.
So even though the center edge of the screen is flat But the texture is no different from the latest iPhones with shiny metallic finishes. The front and back designs of Redmi Note 11 are significantly different. The back cover is still quite round, although it doesn’t appear in many official product renders and images. It glows slightly on all four sides. The Redmi Note 11 Pro version is very flattering compared to this one.
The texture here is also matte and tends to smudge and accumulate fingerprints. This texture feels slightly soft and silky. Maybe it’s because of the AG material from which it is made.
The front of the Redmi Note 11 reveals a bit more about the budget nature. We’ve come a long way in the past few years. And what is now a slightly larger screen saver probably won’t be too late. They are quite thin but not clearly symmetrical
Build quality and materials
While it can create a premium look for a wallet-friendly price, Redmi Note 11 still has to cut back on some materials, especially metal. Most of them are made of plastic. This can be seen from the lack of antenna cables. But it’s not always bad. We have praised some of the properties of plastics in the past. And we will continue to do so because it is a fairly strong and lightweight material. which does not warp or break like metal or glass That’s why I didn’t care at all that the Redmi Note 11 vase is made of plastic. It looks and feels great. and provides excellent structural integrity with almost no flex.
Interestingly enough, despite the tight budget, Xiaomi still managed to pull off what we would call a “glass sandwich” on the Redmi Note 11 with both the front and back covered with a glass finish. AG glass on the back, complete with a soft, silky finish and Gorilla Glass 3 on the front. While far from the latest and greatest Corning has to offer, Gorilla Glass 3 still has stellar scratch resistance, arguably even better than some newer solutions and decent enough shatter protection.
Speaking of protection, the Redmi Note 11 has an IP53 ingress rating, which is just your basic dust and splash affair but still great to see on a device of its class.
